I’m Carlie Showalter

I was born and raised in Southern California and am now building a life in New Mexico with my husband and our Great Dane, Dorothy. I find joy in the outdoors, exploring new places, sharing amazing food with people I love, reading a good book, and thrifting a great find!

I have worked in the nonprofit sector for over 10 years and have experience in program management, volunteer recruitment, marketing, board membership, fundraising, even planning and digital marketing. I have a master’s degree in social justice and human rights with an emphasis in advocacy. I have also completed three professional certificates in professional fundraising, digital marketing, and nonprofit leadership. I fell in love with event planning through my work at The University of New Mexico where I was the Event Planner for the Admissions Office.

I love to chat! Get me started and I can talk with you for hours. I feel lucky to have ended up in a career that allows me to meet amazing people, build community, and use my love for planning to support causes we care about.
